Microsoft Word Tips

Here are a few shortcuts for working in Word which I hope you’ll find helpful:

  • Hanging indent, Ctrl + T
  • All CAPS, Ctrl + Shift + A
  • Change case, Shift + F3
  • Dictionary, Alt + Shift + F7
  • Thesaurus, Shift + F7
  • Font size select, Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Mark TOC entries, Alt + Shift + O
  • Spellcheck and grammar, F7
  • Save as, F12
  • Small CAPS, Ctrl + Shift + K
  • Insert a hyperlink, Ctrl + K
  • Insert cent sign, Ctrl + / + c
  • Double space lines, Ctrl + 2
  • Display print preview, Ctrl + F2
  • Insert current date, Alt + Shift + D
  • Change justification for a block of text, select text to justify, then Ctrl+L (left), Ctrl+R (right), Ctrl+E (center), or Ctrl+J (full justify)
